My First $100 (More Like $4,000) Online
Making your first dollar online is one of the most exciting moments.
I remember releasing my first product – a PowerPoint. As soon as it hit the market for some reason it started selling, like crazy!!
Within a few days it had done 1,000+ sales and over $20,000 in revenues. My take home was about $4,000 from that. I talked about the process in-depth here.
It was the exact same feeling I had when losing my virginity. No turning back. It’s time for a new era.
I hope every single person reading this will be able to experience that feeling…
For me this was one of the top 5 days of my life.
Now your question is how do you do it?
I’m not going to BS you therefore when putting this guide together I thought about everything…
- What was stopping me from launching my first product?
- What has changed in the marketplace?
- What is the lowest barrier to entry?
The answer: Udemy.
The platform is just amazing. Check out some of these statistics:
- Over 5 million students
- More than 22,000 courses
- Average instructor earnings of $7,000
The #1 reason is that Udemy provides you with traffic.
If you have an online business then you understand the value of this traffic. It’s a game changer.
People complain about the 50 percent cut Udemy takes. I’d much rather give 50 percent of something than 50 percent of nothing which is how many sales most people get if they just put up a product on their own website and think that it will magically get sales which it won’t.
It truly is the easiest and quickest way to start making money online. Everyone has some skill they’re really good it. Learn from me and the blog how to get your charisma to the next level, combine it with your skill set and turn it into a profitable Udemy business. It’s not hard – just takes consistent execution.
After you make a few hundred dollars you can move to more complex and more profitable venues like JVZoo or your own website.
Warning: Udemy is not a magical platform but it is evergreen. Don’t expect to put one course up and make thousands a month. It’s all about launching courses consistently every month or two, building your reputation, increasing your student count and slowly increasing your income. It’s a slow start but it’s much more consistent and passive than anything I’ve ever seen online.
